ALPHA has established and maintains processes to make employees at each relevant function/level aware of the importance of conformance with the quality policy, the significant impact of their work activities on quality, actual or potential, their role and responsibilities in achieving conformance with the quality policy and procedures, and the potential consequences of departure from specified procedures.

When training is necessary to aid achievement of the required competence, classroom training (internal or external) and on-the-job training is provided to staff. When and where it is necessary, actions other than training will be used to achieve the needed competence.

Identification of training needs are based on the necessity to achieve occupational health and safety objectives and targets. Programmes include:

  • Safe work practices
  • Fire prevention and preparedness
  • Industrial safety
  • Retaining of existing employees
  • Induction training for new employees.

Training procedures take into account risk, responsibility, ability and literacy.

Personnel assigned to specific tasks are competent & qualified on the basis of appropriate education, training and/or experience and are given the required training in order to fulfill their roles / tasks in a competent and responsible manner.
